On January 22-23, Southern Flames sponsored one of its most exciting events - Demopalooza - a day and half of glass demonstrations by our own members as well as  Sara Sally LaGrand who was in town teaching classes for us - more about that later.  Sylvie Lansdowne and the rest of the SF Board worked to make this an unforgettable event and it was indeed just that.  Sylvie even designed a special logo and many of us ordered t-shirts emblazoned with it.

Even Terry Hale who is ISGB President-elect was in attendance.

It was Gerry White's Birthday and in her always unbelievably generous spirit, she brought us a cake.  Gerry is the owner of Beads by Design and has allowed Southern Flames to meet in her shop and hold classes for years and years.  Her generosity to Southern Flames is a very important factor in our group 's success and endurance.  Happy Birthday Gerry and thank you again - we can't say that enough.

Gerry is shown here with Marcy Lamberson.  Gerry is on the right.

DemoPalooza T-shirts waiting to be picked up.

Some lovely enameled buttons made by Karen Barefield - Karen combines enamel work with lampwork in her jewelry and purses.

Becky Sizemore took Sara Sally LaGrand's Corsage Class and she is shown here proudly wearing the corsage she made.  It is beautiful!

The corsage on the left was made by Sylvie Lansdowne (in the black shirt.)
