When you think about Lampwork artists who think and work outside the box, Sara Sally LaGrand is one of the first to come to mind.  Her work is beautiful, innovative, and always evolving.  She brought a lot of her current work with her for Southern Flames to see.

Once of the classes Sara Sally taught was about creativity and corsages.  The photos below demonstrate the concept and how it plays out when the artist is technically excellent and always imaginative.

Sara Sally's corsages are created from a series of components - pods, craters, discs, berries and wings.  Some are created right on the wire that will be used to make the corsage.

Component closeups - note how silvered glasses are incorporated into the individual beads.

Sara Sally also uses some of the same components and wire wrapping to create neckpieces and other jewelry.
